The tree of life Aarash rug is a lush yellow carpet with a bright look. It is a beautiful maliki kilan which is a geometrical design that uses flattened weaving originating from Herat in Afghanistan.

Your Handwoven Kilim Flatweave is an investment piece, with proper care this rug will last a lifetime and become a truly cherished heirloom piece. This collection of rugs is made by the tribes people of Afghanistan, each knot skillfully tied by hand in rich and vibrant colours to produce a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

To clean your rug, brush or vacuum with a suction-only (no bristles) appliance regularly to prevent the build up of damaging dust and grit. Vacuuming the back of the rug every now and again will keep it dust free and help prevent moths, it will also reduce shedding over time. Rugs should also be rotated occasionally to even out any areas of wear or un-even sun fade.
A certain amount of shedding and sprouting is normal in wool rugs. Avoid pulling loose yarns. If necessary, clip them to be even with the pile height. Spot clean as needed using a damp (not wet) cloth with plain water; don’t use soap or cleaning products, as they could damage or fade the rug. Professionally clean for large stains.
